On October 5th, Kohl's Territory Sr. VP- Anne Horter presented to a series of classrooms, and also hosted a “Women leaders luncheon” for multiple student organization leaders on campus.
The first two classroom presentations included “Kohl’s 101” – learning about Kohl’s mission, values, brands, and MIT/Intern opportunities. The third presentation was about “Kohl’s Branding” – which taught how a product is developed into a brand, as well as our marketing approach to ensure a successful brand launch -- using new exclusive brands, “Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony” as examples.
In partnership with Career Services, Anne & Courtney Graf, University Relations Manager, also hosted a panel for 13 female student organization leaders during a leadership luncheon on campus at the student union.
Students learned about leadership & growth opportunities at Kohl’s, and were able to ask multiple questions of a Senior executive leader. Kohl's hopes to visit many of the organizations for an “Executive speaker series” in the future!
“I just wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to come speak to my class today.
We all were very fortunate to listen to your advice and I sure will take into consideration all your tips—especially the “Rachel Green” remark. I am so eager to graduate that sometimes I forget that I should take my time and take advantage of all the opportunities companies such as Kohl’s offer. I will definitely try to make it to the career fair. Hope to see you there.”
