Kohl’s Presents “Dress for Success” Fashion Show at University of Texas at El Paso

On September 14th, Kohl’s hosted a “Dress for Success” Fashion Show at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). The College of Business Administration (COBA) as well as the Women In Business Association (WBA) played a big part in the success of the event.

Representing Kohl’s was Thomas Romero, University Relations Coordinator and Jorge Rico, Store Manager from the Bassett Store.

The COBA and WBA organizations did a great job of marketing the event to the campus and in turn, there were 140 students in the audience. The event was intended to provide students with an understanding of what attire is acceptable & unacceptable for attending a career fair or for a first interview. Preceding the fashion show, Jorge delivered a presentation on an employer’s perspective at career fairs and during interviews. It gave the students an opportunity to hear what employer’s look for and how to stand out in the crowd.

Below is a photo of the student models that walked the runway wearing Kohl’s merchandise from the Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony lines.
